Since switching to a Blackberry Pearl
The blackberry Pearl Contains All Of The Features That You Have Come To Enjoy In A Blackberry, But In A Much Smaller Package. The Pearl Is Built To Withstand wear And Tear Of Everyday Use, But Occasionally Something Will Happen That Will Damage A Part Of The Device, Like The Side Pieces, So Much That It Makes The Pearl Unusable Or Unattractive. Instead Of Running Out And spending Money On A Whole New Blackberry Device, With Just A Few simple Tools You Can Replace Most Of The Outside Components On A Blackberry Pearl.
Requirements:
● T6 screwdriver
● Pry stick
● Replacement side pieces
►step 1 Flip The Pearl Over And Push The Battery Cover release Button Located Near The Bottom Of The Device. Push Up On The Battery Cover To Remove It, Then Pull The Battery Out Of The Pearl.
►step 2 Remove The Two screws Located At The Top Two Corners Of The Pearl With A T6 Screwdriver.
►step 3 Place Your Pry Stick Between The Plastic Piece That Surrounds The Battery Cover Button And The Housing. The Best Place To Insert The Stick Is Just To The Outside Of The Gold-colored Pieces That Surround The Button. Push Down On The Pry Stick And You Will Feel The Plastic Piece Pop Off. Remove The Plastic Piece.
►step 4 Flip The Pearl Over To The Front Side And Remove The Two screws Located Near The Bottom Two Corners Of The Device.
►step 5 Place Your Pry Stick Between One Of The Silver side Pieces And The Rest Of The Phone. Twist Your Stick Until You Hear And Feel That Part Of The Side Piece Pop Up. Move Your Pry Stick To Another Area Of The Side Piece And Repeat The Process Until The Piece Comes All The Way Off. Do This Same Process For The Other Side Piece.
►step 6 Remove The Old side Pieces From The Area And Snap Your Replacement Ones On The Device. Reverse The Rest Of The Steps To Get Your Pearl Back Together.
