Configure Gmail on my iPhone

step 1 Wake Your iphone From Sleep Mode'>Sleep Mode By Pressing The home Button Near The Bottom Of The Phone And Sliding The Arrow On The Screen From Left To Right.

step 2 Tap The "settings" Application On Your iphone Home Screen. This Application Was Located On The First Page Of The Home Screen When Your iphone Was Purchased, But May Have Been Moved.

step 3 Scroll Down To The third Group Of Options And Tap "mail, Contacts, Calendars". Tap "add Account" And Select "gmail" From The Next Screen.

step 4 Enter Your mail Account'>gmail Account Information Exactly As It Was Entered On google And Tap "save". Information Needed Includes Your First And Last Name, Gmail Address, Gmail Password And A Description. The Description Is What You Will Name This Account On Your iphone And Can Be Anything You Choose. Some Suggestions Are "work Email," "home Email" Or "gmail".

step 5 Tap The back Arrow On The Top Left Of The Screen Until You Are Back On The "mail, Contacts, Calendars" Screen To Set Up Your Fetch Preferences. This Setting Allows You To Determine If Your Email Is Pushed From The Server Directly To Your Iphone; If Your iphone Will Fetch Emails From The Server At Predetermined Intervals; Or If You Would Like To Retrieve Your Email Manually.

step 6 Tap "fetch New Data" And Turn Push On Or Off By Tapping The "on/off" Button. If You Turn Push Off, You Must Select An Option Under "fetch".

step 7 Tap A time Interval Under "fetch". Your Options Are "every 15 Minutes", "every 30 Minutes", "hourly" And "manually". Selecting "manually" Will Keep Your Email On The Server Until You Retrieve It Manually.
