Downgrade iPhone 3G 2.2

If A Recent firmware Update Has Caused Problems With Your Iphone, You May Want To Downgrade Back To A Previous, More stable Version Of The iphone Firmware. If You Have An iphone 3g That Is running 2.2 Firmware, You Can Downgrade The Firmware To A previous Version As Long As You Have Downloaded The Previous Firmware Package. You Will Use Itunes To Install The Old Firmware.

Requirements:
● iTunes
● Old firmware

step 1 Create A Folder On Your desktop Where You Will Eventually Download And Store A Previous Firmware File. Right-click On The desktop And Select "new Folder."

step 2 Download Previous Firmware That You Want To Downgrade Your Iphone. There Are Several Places You Can Download The Firmware From. See "resources" For A Link To Download Any iphone Firmware File. Be Sure To Save The File In The Folder You Previously Created.

step 3 Launch Itunes And Plug Your iphone Into Your Computer. Click On The iphone icon In The left Column And Then Click "summary" Tab.

step 4 Right-click The "restore" Button Inside The "summary" Window. A Window Appears That Allows You To Browse Your File System To Select The Firmware You Want To Restore The iphone To.

step 5 Select The Firmware You Downloaded That Is Stored In The Folder On Your Desktop. Your iphone Will Be Downgraded With The Old Firmware.
