Replace the lens on a BlackBerry Curve

The Lens On Your blackberry Curve Is A Square glass Frame That Fits Over The lcd Screen In Order To Protect It From Damage. If You've Found Yourself With A Scratched Or Damaged Lens, You May Think The Only Way To Fix It Is To Take It To A Service Technician, But This Isn't Necessarily The Case. You Can Replace The Lens On Your blackberry Curve Yourself, Without Having To Remove The Entire Faceplate Or Even Disassembling The Device. All It Should Take Is A little Time And Concentration.

Requirements:
● Electric hair dryer
● Plastic pry tool

step 1 Place Your blackberry Curve Face Up On A Table And Set Your hair Dryer To Its High Setting. Work The hairdryer Around The perimeter Of The Lens For A Couple Minutes, Holding It About 3 Inches Above The Blackberry. This Will Loosen The Adhesive Holding The Lens In Place.

step 2 Insert Your Small Plastic Pry Tool In The seam Between The Top Of The Lens And The Frame Of The Blackberry. This Pry Tool Should Come Included With Purchase Of Your new Lens From Your Blackberry Retailer Or Online. However, If It Didn't, You Can Purchase One From An Electronics Store.

step 3 Slide The Pry Tool Around The perimeter Of The Lens, Gently Lifting Up As You Do So. Remove The Lens From The lcd Screen Once You Have Worked It Loose With The Pry Tool. Be Careful Not To Touch The Actual lcd Screen While Removing The Lens.

step 4 Remove The Protective Cover From The New Lens. Remove The Protective Cover From The Adhesive On The Back Of The Lens. Your new Lens Will Now Be Ready To Fit Over The Lcd.

step 5 Place The Lens Over The Lcd And Align It Evenly, Making Sure All Sides Are Flush With The Blackberry Device.

step 6 Run Your fingers Around The perimeter Of The Lens, Gently Pressing Down As You Do So To Secure The Lens Over The Lcd Screen.
