Using This Program You Can Also Restore Information To Your Phone In The Event Of accidental Erasure Or Damage.


Requirements:

Preparation

step 1 Set Up Your Computer And Phone. Open "desktop Manager." Install This Program From The software Disks That Accompanied Your Phone Or Download For Free From "blackberry Desktop Software" Website (see Resources). Enable "mass media Storage Mode" On Your Blackberry Smartphone. Open The "media Card" Settings In The "options" Menu. Select "enabled." Attach The usb Cord To Your Pc And Phone. Wait For The Computer To Recognize Your Device, A progress Bar May Appear In The task Bar At The Lower-right Of The Screen.

step 2 Set Device Settings. When You First Connect Your Phone To desktop Manager The "device Settings" Window Will Open Automatically. Set Automatic backup Settings As Desired. Authorize Either Daily, Weekly, Bi-weekly Or Monthly Backups. Decide On The Information To Be Backed Up. Check The Box Next To "media." Press "ok."

step 3 Press "back Up Now" From The Main Screen Of Desktop Manager. Select "full" Backup And Press "start." Do Not Disconnect, Jar, Touch Or Otherwise Disturb The Connection Between Your Phone And Computer During Backup.

step 4 Save Picture Files. In Desktop Manager, Open The "pictures" Tab And Press "import," Located In The Lower Right Corner. By Default, This Copies All Pictures From Your Device And Places Them Into A Sub-folder Called "blackberry" Within "my Pictures." Change This Default Setting By Clicking "change Import Folder" From The desktop Manager "picture" Tab.

step 5 Save Music Files. Open "blackberry" Drive From The "my Computer" Folder. Select "music": All Of Your music Files Are Located In This Folder. Select The Desired music Files And Right-click. Right-click And Select "copy" From The Drop-down Menu. Paste The Files In The Desired Folder By Navigating To That Folder And Pressing "v" While Holding "ctrl."

step 6 Restore Data By Opening desktop Manager And Selecting "restore..." From The "device" Menu At The Top. Press "restore." Reinstall Picture And music Files From Backed-up Copies By Selecting "sync All" In desktop Manager Or Syncing Through Windows Media Player.
