To Upgrade The Software On A Suncom blackberry 8310 To The Tp 4.5 Software, Navigate To The T-mobile Website. The Suncom Website Was Decommissioned Shortly After T-mobile Purchased The Company. The Process To Upgrade The Software Is No Different Than Any Other Blackberry Device.

step 1 Access The Blackberry Upgrade Page For T-mobile. Under The Heading "before You Get Started" Reads The Statement, "are You A Former Suncom Customer?" Click On The hyperlink To The Right Of That Statement Labeled, "click Here For A List Of Available Updates." This Process Redirects You To The List Of Downloads For Suncom Customers.

step 2 Select The blackberry 8310 From The Drop-down List And Click On The "download" Hyperlink. Save The File To The Computer's Desktop.

step 3 Double-click On The File To Open It And Install It In The Background Of The Computer.

step 4 Plug The blackberry 8310 Into The Computer With The usb Cable Supplied To You By Suncom. If You Do Not Have That Usb Cable, Any Standard mini Usb Cable Works.

step 5 Open The desktop Manager Program On The Computer And Click On "application Loader." Click On "start" Located Inside Of The "update Software" Screen.

step 6 Place A Check Mark Next To The 4.5 Software, And Click "next." Click On "install" To Update The Blackberry To The 4.5 Software.
